Tea Party
My girls always want to have tea parties and I hate to say it but I don't always comply. I tell them sure, go have a tea party together but I know what they really want is for me to join in and make it a special event. So, after school the other day when the weather was particularly nice I decided to give in to their requests. I baked cookies and made tea and got out some pretzels and put together a fancy tray of goodies. As I headed out the back door toward the picnic table under their play house I was greeted with squeals of delight. We all sat down and had "proper tea" (uh, huumm, ah, well, as proper as it gets with a 6 year old and an almost 2 year old on a backyard playset anyway, lol). We had a good little "mommy-daughter talk" and put our pinkies out like Fancy Nancy and it was wonderful!
Dear Carley and Zoe,
I deeply cherish all the memories we make together. You two are the most precious gifts of art God has created in my life. I love you to the moon and back a million-ba-zillion times.
xoxo
