Well, today was the big day and it certainly was a big hit!
Here are the pics some of you have been waiting anxiously to see, wish you all could have been with us.
Ashley and I worked on ideas for this Art Themed joint birthday bash over the last couple of months and we had so much fun doing it.... I'm pretty sure the kids had a blast too.
The kids each got to create a Kandinsky inspired abstract painting to take home with them.

(Ashley even embroidered their names on them!)
I felt like I was back in the classroom... only with smaller students. ;D
They were fantastic and did such awesome paintings!

These silly girls! I made each of them Wacky Birthday Crowns to wear & keep for dress-up.
We all had a blast posing in the stage area, with the colorful cardboard frames and props like mustaches, glasses, big red lips, hats, and bowties.
