What's been keeping me away....

Yes, I have been away from my blog for a while! And here is a little summary of the things that have been keeping me from blogging (.... no time to sit down, ha, ha)

We always think the Fall and Winter are so busy with sports and the holidays, etc. but each Spring I am reminded just how busy the month of May gets!!!

So, first it was the exciting task of helping create a gorgeous wedding shower for one Jeremy's best friends and his lovely fiance. I was in charge of the decorations for the event and I had the best time getting crafty and pulling out some Pinterest projects along with a few tricks of my own. I remembered just how much fun it is to decorate and make things for a wedding. Ooh La La! Love it!

Then it was on to doing a family photo shoot and newborn photo shoot. Then editing.... gosh, I love Photography too!

Jeremy planned and hosted a little cook-out at our house and I didn't even have to lift a finger except to make tea and it was wonderful. Yummy food babe!!! A perfect evening to use the bubble machine that I had purchased to use with the kids in the family photo shoot..... our girls LOVED that thing and are still  playing with it in the evenings after school. Great purchase!

Then it was a quick trip out of town for a wedding. The daughter of some of our closest friends from Hale Center was getting married and we wouldn't miss it. It was one of the most magical and beautiful weddings at a place called Spirit Ranch in Lubbock. They have the most beautiful big trees, a flowing stream with foot bridge and winding pathways, and of course the peacocks! Gorgeous! It was like being in a Midsummer Nights Dream. The bride and groom were like the prince and princess of a fairy tale. Both girls got a peacock feather to keep and a night of memories to treasure.

The weekend was made perfect by having time with Jeremy's brother and his sweet family. They were celebrating their daughter Jorden's 13th birthday and we got to join in on the festivities. Such a precious young lady she is becoming! The girls had a blast at Jump n Jive, eating at Olive Garden and shopping at the mall then spending the night before we made the drive back home.

And this week it has been a whirlwind of "making stuff". I have literally taken over the house, staying up till 1:30 and getting up at 6:30 on average getting ready for an Arts & Crafts Festival this weekend in Farmersville. I will have a booth with my friend Sandy. So excited!
(Check out photos on my Art Blog)

I also have an "Artful Gatherings" birthday party on Friday night for a sweet little girl who is turning 8. We are going to do paintings of puppy dogs. ;)

And my Senior Portraits photo shoot was rescheduled for next Tuesday, whew!

Plus, yesterday Zoe and I got to go on Carley's school field trip to the Dallas Zoo! It was awesome! Especially the parts where we got to get up close and personal with the giraffes and Carley got to touch one. And when Carley got to go inside one of the bird enclosures (she really wanted a bird to land on her and she was so calm and patient.... but those crazy birds just kept landing on the silly kids who were freaking out, good grief. lol)

To top it all off we had the pleasant surprise of Jeremy's parents getting to come stay for a while. They are going to help watch the girls and let them have a sleepover at their RV the night before the Arts & Crafts Festival. Yay for Nana and Papa!

Oh, I almost forgot.... Carley is going on a little getaway sleepover with her friend Ava's family tonight to the Great Wolf Lodge (a really cool indoor water park resort). She can't wait!

And Friday is Zoe's appointment with the therapists at Baylor Medical Center to help her with her aversion to eating table foods. Lord, bless this child ahd help her not be afraid to eat healthy foods other than baby food. Praying it all goes well.

Love to everyone!
