So, mom and the girls and I went out to my sister's new house last Friday evening to celebrate little Isabel's 2nd birthday. It was also a great opportunity to let the girls play while we hung pictures and artwork and decorated for Christmas since they will be hosting Chris's family for Christmas this year.
When Jodi mentioned they were going Christmas tree hunting the next morning I kinda sorta piped up and invited my family to go along with them....don't think they minded too much though. ;-)
We have never done this before so it was a special treat and such a fun tradition to start doing as a family. Thank you Emersons for the adventure! (even though it was wet and bitter cold...the cozy gift shop fireplace and free hot chocolate helped!)
Maybe next year it won't be muddy from melted ice and the kids can do the awesome Christmas maze and play on the winter playground.
