The Last Weeks of Summer

It's been well over a month since my last post so I have a little catching up to do here.

The girls got to make one last trip to hang out with their Nana & Papa and their cousins for a week and a half while we did some work at the house.

Cleaned out. Organized. Had a garage sale. Sold some furniture on Craigslist.

Mom and dad might have gone one a couple of dates while kids were away.

Then football started back up full-swing.

And.....

The "big thing" that has kept us going non-stop is the fact that after more than a year of searching we found a house we were interested in that we could actually afford.
So we made an offer on it.
They accepted.
We put our house on the market.
Got two offers within the first two weeks.
Accepted the really good one.
Now dealing with option periods, inspections, repairs on the house we want to buy, etc.
It's a two story home with just over an acre of land outside of town in the rolling hills countryside.
Mom would have her own room and private bathroom downstairs.
I might just have to invest in building a studio out back....YAY! ....but also YIKES!$!$!$
It is a roller coaster ride of emotions and lots of "hurry up and wait" times.
Lots of praying.
We feel at Peace about whatever the outcome may be, whether we move forward or stay here.
But it looks like things are progressing toward moving forward.
I texted our real estate agent (who has become a dear friend and trusted adviser) right after
we accepted the offer on our house:
"Aaaahhhh!!! Feeling nervous and excited....@thecornerofcautiouslyoptomisticandscaredwitless"
She just laughed at me, gotta love her.

Will let you know how things turn out.

At any rate, our house looks amazing!
It is super clean. Deck is newly re-stained. Lookin' spiffy.
