I've never been big on New Year's Resolutions but this year I decided to actually do one and to make myself take it seriously.
So, I started early, the day after Christmas to be exact. And I made sure that I would have a way to keep myself accountable for sticking to it.
I (and a small group of family members) got an app on my phone that I am using daily to track my eating habits, calories, exercise, weight, measurements, etc.
I have been faithful each day and I AM GOING TO GET THE FIT FIGURE I WANT! I am determined.
I even did something the other day that I would have sworn I would never do.
I got up at 5am when the rest of my family was still sleeping and I went running. Oh yes I did.
I probably wouldn't have made it but I was motivated.... by fear. It was dark. I was alone.
I was a couple of blocks away from my house when the thought crossed my mind that if I was one of those chicks in a horror flick and someone was chasing me I would so easily be a gonner already, dang it. And that motivated me even more to get better at this running stuff (which I have admittedly never liked). So I kept running, with my keys strategically pointed out in one hand and my phone in the other
..... and I made it a whole 20 minutes. oh yeah.
I've worked out almost every day doing something different each day to keep it interesting.
Wish me luck, cause girl I plan on rockin' those skinny clothes from the back of my closet this spring.
