Around our house we have been trying to be up and active more often throughout our days.
A couple of things that have kept us working at it have been: keeping ourselves accountable, finding motivation to keep going, and discovering that it's actually FUN and makes us feel GREAT!
The girls are awesome encouragement and provide endless activities and entertainment making it easy.
This week we've been up-n-at-em doing stuff like this:
After school bike rides & walks.
Evenings in the living room having dance parties with Carley's "Paper Jamz"..... soooo entertaining seeing the girls dance and sing together.
My 5:30 am Tae Bo Amped workout with my friend Ashley on Wednesdays
Jeremy's two days in a row working out at the amenity center at 5:00 am.
Doing the Dr.Oz 7 Day Belly Workout each day.
And starting the Insanity workout videos today after school!
It's not about going overboard or being extreme. We are trying to enjoy it and keep it interesting by doing a variety of different things each week. We're not dieting, just watching what we eat and being accountable for it so it makes us think twice about that second helping or late night bowl of ice cream, you know. We still eat whatever we want but we do it in moderation and try to put in a few more "healthy" options as often as we can.
I'm liking this and I think we can stick to it because we are doing it in a way that works for us.
I'm excited and I feel really good...... should have started a long time a go I guess.
My first weigh in and measurement check is on Monday.... maybe I'll let you know how it goes, maybe.
