My Sweetheart's Birthday

I can't believe in all this craziness and sickness I would let my husband's birthday slip by without a blog post!

Well, it may be a few days after the fact but I'm not letting it go un-mentioned.

Jeremy celebrated another big boy birthday on February 25th in the midst of a very busy week.

We didn't do anything wild or fancy and he insisted he didn't want anything for his special day, but mom helped me shop for ingredients to make a special dinner and Jodi helped me with a recipe to make his very favorite dessert. I've never attempted to make Tiramisu before so it was a little intimidating and I was rather proud of it.....until I took a bite. I felt so bad that the coffee and rum flavor was too strong. I wish it was as good as it should have been. They all ate it with smiles and said it was great, but I am determined to get this one right one of these days babe, just for you. I promise. I guess at least the thought and effort were at the heart of it. And at least mom bought you those gummy bears as a back up dessert plan, lol.

Zoe and Carley made daddy cards and Carley made a special Rainbow Loom bracelet big enough to fit his arm. :) so awesome

Jeremy, I love you so much. You are such a wonderful husband and father. You are my best friend. You make me laugh. We communicate in glances and gestures with a shared history of experiences and expressions. You make me feel safe and loved and so cared for and I hope I do the same for you. We have been on such an incredible journey together and I look forward to many, many more exciting years together. I hope your birthday, as small and simple as it was......yes, even with the silly "monkey butts" card made you smile. And I hope we all let you know how cherished you are. You are the best.
