Nine years ago on September 13th our tiny baby girl arrived five weeks early by emergency C-section right in the middle of West Texas football season. She weighed only 3lbs 13ozs when Jeremy and I took her home from the hospital. That day we became parents, and we realized firsthand how in an instant our hearts could overflow with a love so great it hurts. By God's grace she grew stronger each day, and everyday since she has blessed our lives with immeasurable joy. She is becoming a young lady now and it's happening so fast. She radiates beauty from the inside out through her generosity, her loving heart, her compassion, curiosity, wit and humor, and creativity. She is part me and part Jeremy and parts of her grandparents. She is fearfully and wonderfully made by her Heavenly Father and she is loved completely.
We had a small celebration at home this year including a surprise weekend visit from Nana and Papa, a football game, dinner at the Japanese steak house and time just hanging out together. It was a very happy weekend.
And she has been practicing with one of her favorite presents ever since......her new pogo stick. By the second day she had it she was already up to 149 bounces in a row.
