The Coyotes kicked off the weekend Friday night with their first football win of the season! Yay!!
Then our long holiday weekend officially began early Saturday morning on a "labor of love" project. Our precious church family has found a little building to rent and we spent the day scrubbing, cleaning, fixing, mowing, painting and pouring our hearts and hard work into making this new place ready for our first worship service. We have enjoyed meeting together in the Carle/Hopper home. They have been so gracious and our fellowship there built treasured memories; but I'm sure they are happy that we have this new place to spread out in a little bit. Their neighbors are probably happy to not have so many cars parked up and down the street anymore too!
Sunday evening we all gathered for an ice cream celebration and awesome worship service.
*I will try to post some "after" pictures later once we do some decorating.
Monday was a pool party with some of the church families.
Our friends have a gorgeous home surrounded by farmland and trees....their own little oasis in the country. The kids (and adults) enjoyed swimming as well as getting to see and pet the fluffy "silky" chickens, roosters, a tame little turkey named Twyla, a speckled pony named Honey, a little black and white goat, a donkey and even a turtle. It was like visiting a private petting zoo and waterpark!
I wish I would have taken pics of the animals but I didn't think of it at the time. :(
The pool had a diving board and slide that were a huge hit.
You will see that Jeremy took full advantage of doing flips and cannon balls off the diving board, lol.
He is so much fun!
I was so happy he got out of football practice in time for us to all go together today.
